With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Taniela Kauvakahiva Patetefa (Salt Lake City, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2026 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Taniela Patetefa and Sinalelea Patetefa; his siblings, Lopelini Hafoka, Semisi, Faingamoevalu and Vatuni Loka; and his grandson Tevita Vaenuku.
He is survived by: his wife Veilomani; his children, Daniel Ahau (Sinai), Sina, Vatuni (Cami), Amalani, Livi (Latu), Danibau (Tassia) and Ailine; and his siblings, Ana Moala Kinikini, Pua Fifita, Lopetisoni and Ilaisaane Lotaki. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
