She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Homer Brown and Edna Alice Carlson; her close friend Joseph; her foster parents, Richard Hurd and Katherine Hurd; her sisters, Dorothy Williams and Charlene Forness; and her son-in-law Scott Faulring.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph T. Sykes; her children, Barbara Faulring (late Scott) of Orem, UT, Kathy Bird of South Jordan, UT, Sandra Beck (Bryan) of Gilbert, AZ and Richard Sykes of Cottonwood, UT; and her sister Maryanne Waters (Mark). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; more than 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
