He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvah Wheeler and Dorothy Wheeler; his wife Esther; and his siblings, Robert and Ruth.

He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen of Draper; and his brother Paul (Virginia) of Rochester. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
