He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Beatrice Jones and Waldo Jones; his wife Pam James (James); and his children, Debbi Thompson (Kim), Pam Landgren (Lynn), David Jones (Jane), Diane Olson (Kurt) and Christy Baxter (Rich). He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
