He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Lucas and Margaret Knotts; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his children, Paul Daniel, Teresa Jean, Jeffrey Thomas and Heather Nosack; his wife Diana; and his sister Patricia Brown (Gerald).

He died with his boots on and was a humble manIn lieu of flowers; the family respectfully requests donations be made to Catholic Charities of SLC and/or the Humane Society of Utah.
