With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Max May (Sandy, Utah), who passed away on May 12, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda May and Frank May; his brothers, Joe, Reid and Dean; and his grandchild Rowan.
He is survived by: his wife Shellie Norton; his children, Russell May (Lola), Alex van Langeveld (Gerrit), Ross May (Jolie), Rebecca "Bex" May, Matthew May (Amanda) and Ted May (Samantha); and his grandchildren, Tori, Isabel, Josh, Antayla, Landon, Jon, Ryndee, Maddi (Emma), Kennedi, Kara, Kelton, Cimaya, Serenity, Zane, Liberty, Brooklynn, Nick, Zack, Amelia and Henry.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (275 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84070). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sandy City Cemetery (9000 S 700 E, Sandy, UT 84070).
