He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Preston Mitchell and Sarah Ann Alida Justesen; his wife Mary; his siblings, Betty Mitchell Hansen and Marlin Mitchell; his son Michael; and his great grandchild Eli Mitchell.
He is survived by: his family Glen; and his children, Glendon Mitchell (Toni), Charlotte Meldrum (Randy) and Garth Mitchell (Shauna). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
