He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hanten and Lorraine Hanten; his sons, Nicholas and John; and his granddaughter Tillie.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Hintze; his children, Katherine Richardson (Nathan), Peter Hanten (Jen) and Elizabeth Teynor (Nicholas); his siblings, Deb and Kevin; and his sister-in-law Barb. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, Jerry's family would prefer you consider donating to your local Veterans Association, Salt Lake City VA Fisher House, and/or the American Heart Association.
