With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Leona Muir Sorensen (Sandy, Utah), who passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma James Muir and Leona May Malstrom; her husband Darrell LaMar Sorensen; her brother Ralph; her sister-in-law Dorene Richards; her children-in-law, Kathy and Pat Shankle; and her grandson Jason (Hannah).
She is survived by: her children, Darrell "Kim" (Pamela), Scott (Robin), Doug (Kathy), Janet (Pat Shankle) and Stacy (Karl Stanfield). She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
In leu of flowers please donate to Primary Children's Hospital her favorite charity for which she has done much through her later years.
