She was predeceased by: her husband Carl H. Durney; her parents, Melroy Ole Nelson and Clarissa Nelson Benjamin; her siblings, Doris Bruno, Lynn Nelson, Dean Nelson and Norma Bond; her grandson Maxillian Nelson Curtis; and her great grandchild Amber Jennifer Heiner.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bruce Nelson (Ann) and Rhea Bearnson; and her children, Caladh Riese (Roland), Carolyn Ipson (Larry), Edward Durney (Noriko), Brian Durney (Kristy), Alan Durney (Lori) and Dyla Miller (Karl).
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Santaquin Utah East Stake Center (548 S 400 E, Santaquin, UT 84655).
Her career was marked by compassion and purpose, particularly in her work with veterans, youth, and members of a Parkinson's support group.
