We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2025, at the age of 77, Melanie Thygerson (Sandy, Utah) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Kevin Richard Thygerson; her mother Wanda Miller Empey Cannon (Emerson Cannon); her cousin Linda Fisher Engar; her siblings, Karen (Craig Chambers), David Empey, Drew (Karen Empey), Roger (Vicki Empey), Chad (Deanna Empey) and Carl (Lisa Empey); her children, Craig Thygerson, Kent (Kira Thygerson), Kimberli Thygerson, Camilla (Brian Dahle), Joyelle (John Hatch) and Sunshine (Jake Wilde); her grandson Cory Davis; her daughter Brittany Davis Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Xander, Samuel, Isaiah, Izzy, Katie, Aidan, Adam, Claire, Jackson, Caleb, Wyatt, Eisley, Malia, Ethan, Morgan, Oakley, Eleanor and Elouise; and her great grandchildren, Lena Poulsen and Timothy Skinner.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (5000 W Pavant Ave, West Valley City, UT 84120). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery (10055 S State St, Sandy, UT 84070).
