He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton Wright Ensign and Mona Larson; his sisters, Patti Richards and Helene Maw; and his children, Dale Eric Ensign (Lisa) and Celeste Ensign.

He is survived by : his wife Elaine Woodbury Ensign; and his children, Erlynn Lansing (Chris), Robert Pusey (Cari), Clint Ensign (Cindy), Lisa Howe, Lynne Johnston (Mark), Jonathan Ensign (Tracy), Lance Ensign (Lisa) and Heather Gordon (Corbin).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
