He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elton and Sarah Naoma McIllece (Davis); and his brother Stanley Roy McIllece. He is survived by: his children, Rachelle (Philippe) and Christopher (Rachel); his grandchildren, Alexandre, Estelle, Audrey, Thomas and Alexandra; his siblings, Allen (Paula) and Susan Hakala (Don); his sister-in-law Joanie; and his niece Jamie Dawn Hakala. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was a good example in charity and selflessness.
