It is with sadness that we share the passing of Ruben Gayle Winterrose (Sandy, Utah), born on May 25, 1931. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Ruben for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Ruben’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jennie Middleton and Reuben Emmanuel Winterrose; his wife Carolyn Young Winterrose; his children, Jan Noel (Ron), Marty Winterrose (DeAnna), Jenny Wesenberg (Devon), Lynn Meier (Wes) and Marcia Henriksen (Craig); his sister Jackie Winterrose Fullmer; his son Hal Winterrose; and his grandson Alec McQueen. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Cottonwood 1st Ward (5913 S Highland Dr, Holladay, UT 84121). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092).
