She was predeceased by: her parents, Turk Frantz and Utahna Frantz; her sister Betty Khilstrom; and her son-in-law Shawn Haycock. She is survived by: her siblings, Sherrell "Shug" Frantz and Gloria Prescott; and her nieces and nephews, Randy Nielsen (Melanie), Darrell Nielsen (Shelly), Sharee Whalen, Ruth Ann Haycock and Angie Gunnell (Devan). She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In her later years, she faced a different type of battle with Alzheimer's, which tested her in ways no one could have prepared her for.
