He was predeceased by: his grandmother Selina; his parents, Preston Ernest Hafen (Vella Ruth Morris) and Vella Ruth Hafen; his parents-in-law, John S. and Dorothy J. O'Dell; his brothers, Morris Kim and Preston Lon Hafen; his children, Brenda Ruth and David Quinn; and his brothers-in-law, John S. O'Dell Jr., Tony Heaton and Dan.
He is survived by: his son Brant Barry Hafen (Amy Sue); his wife Darrylin Rae; his children, William Brooks (Theresa), Collin Brooksby (Katherine Judith Anderson) and Trisha Lyn Lopez (Ray); his sisters, Penny Barben (Gordon), Janet, Ruby Heaton and Dorothy Hafen; and his siblings-in-law, Barry, Donna O'Dell and Linda O'Dell. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
