He is survived by: his former spouse Afton Irene Bowen of Payson; his wife Irene Childs; and his children, Daniel Edward Childs (Tara), Isaac Grant Childs, Ammon Jay Childs (Tasha), Andrea Irene Moore, James Wesley Childs (Stacie), Ronald Albert Childs, Kevin Joseph Childs, David Lynn Childs (Heidi), Katrina Afton Terry (Michael) and Richard Scott Childs (Kayla). He is also survived by 38 grandchildren; a growing number of great-grandchildren; and many beloved siblings and their spouses.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home (587 S 100 W, Payson, UT 84651). Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (45 S 500 W, Santaquin, UT 84655). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Santaquin City Cemetery (100 E 300 S, Santaquin, UT 84655).
