He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Harper and Anne Scheel Marchant; and his brothers, Raymond Marchant and Richard Marchant. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Flint; his children, Brenda Guymon, Sherry Nance (Russ), Brian Marchant (Mary), Wendy Butzburger (Michael), Jill Petersen (Brian), Karen Glauser (Paul), Scott Marchant (Jacki), Joanne Lyon (Anthony) and Julie Christopherson (David); his sisters, Janet Luke and Kathryn Durrant; and his sisters-in-law, Sharol Marchant and Linda Marchant. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
