We announce the death of Tyson James Alvares (Smithfield, Utah), who passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 38. Tyson will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Daniel and Florinda; his stepfather Kim Sorensen; his brother Michael; his uncles, Sammy and Daniel; his aunt Carol; and his sister Melissa.
He is survived by: his parent Nancy Hernandez; his daughters, Chloe and Zoe Alvares; his wife Shakiya; and his son River Alvares. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.
