He was predeceased by: his parents, Patti Sappie and Paul Sappie; and his father-in-law Jim Reese. He is survived by: his wife Wendi Sappie; his siblings, Paul Sappie II (Kerry), Beth DeWalt (Jeff), Jeff Sappie (Mary) and Tim Sappie; his in-laws, Judy and Eduardo Martinez; and his sisters-in-law, Jodi Simmons (Mike) and Debra Drummond (Sean Kelly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to help break the stigma surrounding mental illness. Donations can also be made to the Humane Society of Utah.
