He was predeceased by: his son Keith Hugh Gottwald; his parents, Hugh Gottwald and Virginia Stewart Gottwald; his wife Shauna Candace Richards; his daughter Roxanne; and his sister Cheryl Noreen Marquez.
He is survived by: his children, Shauna Nanell Sorenson (Lanny), Tamsen Helm (Eric), Bronwyn Compagna (Teddy), Josh Gottwald (Paige), Nate Gottwald (Holly) and Nicholas Gottwald (Natalie). He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
