Kendall Thomas Obituary

Kendall Lamar Thomas, born May 25, 1979, Passed away January 24th, 2024. He was a very proud and loving father to his three children, Karson, Kyler, and Kensley Thomas. Kendall was raised by his parents, Robert & Karen, in Bluffdale, Utah on the family farm. He was the oldest of four children and an amazing older brother to his siblings. He grew up working on the family farm in the hay fields with his grandfather, father, and brothers. He there learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity at a young age. The love for hay and the value of hard work he passed on to his kids.

Kendall loved the great outdoors. Whether he was hunting, camping, boating, slalom skiing, riding horses, hauling hay, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. He especially loved spending time with his family in nature. He always looked forward to the annual Lake Powell trip. He loved spending time in the high Unitas hunting deer and elk with his father and siblings. Before the responsibility of family, Kendall spent many years with his dear friends, the Bringhurst brothers, and many others including their four-legged companions chasing lions or bears all through the mountains with the sound of howls echoing across the land. Most of all he loved hunting birds. He took many trips east to hunt wild pheasants with his Newman Construction Family, he also spent many hours on the canal behind the family home hunting doves.

Operating equipment came naturally to Kendall. He could operate anything. Farming equipment, excavation equipment, and especially his directional drill. He spent 18 years with Newman Construction. He was proud to wear the Newman Construction brand. Alongside co-worker and good friend Shaun (Buckner) Robertson, Kendall was a leader of one of the best directional drill crews in the state. Their companionship and teamwork set an example to so many. Kendall was an example of hard work. He was a friend to everybody and was known to always be the first person to stick up for the underdog.

Kendall is survived by his three children; Karson (Abbie), Kyler, and Kensley, parents; Robert (Codi) Thomas & Karen (Al) Witkamp, siblings; Tana (Jake) Bennett, Craig Thomas, Kurt (Kylee) Thomas, several nieces & nephews and his loving grandmother, Joye Thomas. He will be missed by his lifelong companions Kallie Bennett Thomas & Kari Birkinshaw as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents; Robert Thomas, Val Palmer& Lila Frandsen, cousin; Jesse Egbert & friend Shaun (Buckner) Robertson.

Kendall's legacy and loving tender heart will be cherished by everyone as he now rests in peace.
