He is survived by: his wife Susan Irene Klem Sheffield; his sons, Matthew Boyd Sheffield and Peter Joseph Sheffield; his grandchildren, Chloe Irene Sheffield, Cameron Joseph Chambless, Maddie Miranda, Noah Joseph Sheffield and Luella Cota; and his sisters, Shauna Sheffield Walton and Jeanie Sheffield Peck.
