He was predeceased by: his parents, William Floyd and Venita Pace Bowen; his wife Virginia Pearl Jeppson; his stepson Randy Reid; his grandson Matthew Bowen; his brother Cleon Bowen; and his son Klell Bowen.

He is survived by: his children, Kyle Bowen (Sharon) and Shannon Bowen; his grandchildren, Jana Mendez, Kimberly Marumoto, Lisa Witz, Marquel Dodson and Zachariah Bowen; David Reid (Cindy), Steven Reid and Les Reid (Sabine). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
