It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Irwin Bates (Spanish Fork, Utah), who passed away on July 28, 2019, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Cody Lee Bates; and his parents, Ronald Lee Bates and Joann Allen Bates. He is survived by: his wife Anne Bates; his sons, Justin Bates (Heidi) and Collin Bates; and his stepchildren, Tyrel Steele (Rachel), Drew Steele (Heather) and Jessica Butterfield (Trevor).

“Sorry for your loss! I worked with Don at AFH. He was an amazing person. He was fun to talk to and laugh with. I'm going to miss him picking on me. He had funniest sense of humor. I would stop in the engineer office quite often just to hear him and Reed joking about something. He made a big impact on everyone that he came into contact with.
