He is survived by: his wife Josephine Whitney; his former spouses, Darlene Tippets Whitney, Tyler Whitney (Jane Whitney) and Adrienne Jacobson; and his sister Fayette Whitney Clark. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
