She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Whitmer Swan and Barbara Ann Naylor Swan; her husband Daniel Carter; her stepdaughter Tammy Doty; and her granddaughter McKenna Davis.

She is survived by: her children, Julie Anderson (Clint), Brenda Dansie (Rodney), Aaron Davis (Treena) and Danise Carter (Bjorn); her stepchildren, Jesse, Kenny, Jeannie, Frankie and Danny; and her siblings, Judy Bishop (Barry), Steve Swan (Shireen), Gail Kaletta (Paul) and Larry Swan (Patty). She is also survived by her 29 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
