He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel LeRoy Heap and Eloise Judd Heap; and his brothers, Daniel R. Heap, Richard J. Heap and Boyd Heap.

He is survived by: his wife Elna; his children, Amber (Billy), Bryson (Joni) and Dallin (Hailey); his grandchildren, Brylee, Libbie, Ryan, Treygen, Charlee, Jaylee and Blake; and his sisters-in-law, Chris and Diane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
