Sharon K Lehmberg Obituary

Sharon K Halverson Lehmberg passed away peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023.

She was born on September 10 1943 to Afton Mae Backus and Wells Halverson. She had 2 younger brothers, Dee (deceased) and Michael J. She was so loved by her grandparents, they became like parents to her, and her mother's brothers and sisters were like her brothers and sisters. She had many cousins that became like brothers and sisters to her, as well.

Sharon went to schools in Provo and graduated from Provo High School in 1961.

Sharon was sealed to Ross Vermont Lehmberg on September 9, 1965 in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. She gained 2 bonus kids when they married, Suzanne and Duane. She loved making clothes for them. Sharon and Ross had 5 children together, Jennifer, Jason, Jamie, Jared, and Jill.

Mom was an avid reader. She loved books. So, she found the perfect job when she started working at the Spanish Fork Public Library. She loved the friends she made there, and all the memories made with them.

She made friends wherever she went. Many of them have graduated from this life, but we know they will all pick up where they left off. She loved traveling with her friends, as well as her Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Judy Backus, who treated her like their little sister.

She had many interests and hobbies, reading being first and foremost, with sewing, crocheting, music, baking, making Christmas candy, scrapbooking, creating dolls all coming in the long list. She loved listening to music by Neil Diamond, Michael Ball and Josh Groban especially.

Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had served as a Visiting Teacher, a Primary teacher, and her favorite: the Ward Librarian.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Ross, her parents and beloved grandparents, James and Lula Backus, brother Dee, and some favorite cousins and friends. She is survived by her children: Jennifer Sturgeon, Jason (Brandee), Jamie (Kevin) Anderson, Jared and Jill, and bonus son, Duane (Melanee), as well as her 6 grandchildren, Braiden and Wesley Mathena, Skyler (Ashlee) Davis and Mackenzie Anderson, Joshua (Lexi) and Ashlee Sturgeon, and 2 bonus granddaughters, Eva Lehmberg, and Traci Childs. She also leaves behind 2 great-grandchildren, Granger Ross, and Maizee Rae Davis, as well as 2 bonus great-grandkids, Jace and Maci Childs and her brother, Michael Halverson (Robin), as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The Family would like to say "thank you" to the amazing staff at Canyon Hospice, Stonehenge of Springville, Timpanogos Regional Hospital, Stonehenge of Orem, and Utah Valley Intermountain Hospital. They were all so sweet and caring toward Mom. We are so grateful.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27th, at 11:00 am, at the River View Ward located at 452 West 550 South, Spanish Fork, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 am.
