He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee H. Bate and Grace Lee Bate; his son Brian; and his sister Roberta Smith (Gordon). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, David Bate (Jeannie), Maralee Jensen (Rich) and Bud Bate (Kelly); his daughter-in-law Cherie Bate; and his sister Bonnie Dalton (Chuck). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren (and many spouses); 28 great-grandchildren.
