He was predeceased by: his siblings, Christopher, Elizabeth and James. He is survived by: his parents, Lester Chappell and Celeste Chappell; his siblings, Jeffrey, Matthew, Larissa, Jennifer, Emma and Sarah; and his in-laws, Jessi, Niu and Jake.
Viewing was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (495 S Canyon Dr, Springville, UT 84663). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Samuel's memory to the Batten Disease Support and Research Association (BDSRA) or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
