He was predeceased by: his mother Alda. He is survived by: his wife Arla Larsen; his children, ClareAnn, Mark, Natalee, Russell, Travis, Arleen, Dexter and Sheldon; and his siblings, Dean, Shila, Ray, Max, Marian Jean, Betty and Bert Otten. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren and over 60 Great-Grandchildren.
