It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Renee Louise Martinez of Sterling, Utah, born in Baldwin Park, California, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliot Leon and Mary Lucille Rooks Denison; her siblings, Bonnie Denison Alvarado and Thomas Elliott Denison; her stepdaughter Deborah Fimbres; and her brothers-in-law, Michael Bowen, Filipo Fuimaono, Arturo Martinez and James Leroy Martinez.
She is survived by: her husband Ernesto "Ernie" Martinez; her daughters, Megan Martinez, Wendy Martinez-Hjelstrom (Greg), Polly Martinez and Brenda Barnes; her stepchildren, Kurt Martinez (Marilyn), Renee Rowe, Michael Leslie and Ruth Martinez; and her sisters, Melinda Bowen and Carolyn Fuimaono. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers (due to severe allergies), the family requests stories/memories of Renee or donations made in her honor to her favorite charities: Manti Humanitarian Center (Manti, UT), New Horizon Crisis Center (Richfield, UT), or Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
