He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Burton and Ila Burton (Smedley); his sister Janae Bair; his brother-in-law Doug Bair; his parents-in-law, Bob and Betty Madsen; his sister-in-law Georgia Smith; and his niece Rebecca Bair.
He is survived by: his close friend Nancy; his children, Cindy Walker (Bryan Wendt) of Clinton, Utah, Jackie Southworth (Bryce) of Syracuse, Utah, Sue Cook (Kevin) of Hooper, Utah, Rob Burton of Ammon, Idaho, Shelly Beesley (Jon) of Plain City, Utah, Ann Stark (Chris) of Farr West, Utah and Mandy Cosper (Tres) of West Point, Utah; his daughter-in-law Jenn Burton of Hooper, Utah.; Margo Dansie (Bryan) of Rigby, Idaho. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, with one sweet, great grandbaby on her way – and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Syracuse South Stake Center (2024 S 1475 W, Syracuse, UT 84075).
