With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elden Thomas Knighton (Syracuse, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2026 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Yvonne Marian Ballif Knighton and John Thomas Knighton; and his father-in-law Reese Jan Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Montgomery; his children, Derek Thomas Knighton, Jessica Lougy (Nathan) and Michael Elden Knighton; and his siblings, Jeanette Stephens (Bryan), John B. Knighton (Vivienne), Alice Miller (Brett), Pamela Nelson (Terry), Joyce Wright (Brian), Judy Rooks (Ron) and Marianne Miller (Eric).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the West Point Lakeside Stake Center (855 N 4000 W, West Point, UT 84015).
