He is survived by: his spouse Trent Thursby; his children, Shannon Alvey (Bodhi) and Christopher Alvey (Amy); his grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney, Ryan and Noah; and his siblings, Sherry (Kartchner), Steve Alvey (Rita) and Ronda Beckstead (Steve).
