With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Steiger (Taylorsville, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 85. In the sacred silence of farewell, Melvin is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Melvin's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steiger and Suzanna Dupper Steiger. He is survived by: his daughters, Terry Fast (Chris) and Tina Raeder (Tom); his grandson Colton McDonald (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Ryder and Bridger; his grandchild Chase McDonald (Ashley); his great grandchild Wyatt; his granddaughter Nichole Ostergaard (Noah); and his brother Clayton Steiger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (1441 Tamarack Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
