He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy Lynn Elton (Illa) and Louis Earl Elton; and his brothers, Robert and Sam Elton. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Smith; his children, Wendi Elton (Bethany) and Shawn Elton (Lynette); his stepchildren, Mindy Smith (Nick), James Smith (Rebecca) and Mallory Smith (Max); his grandchildren, Taylore Elton, Mikali Carter, Amanda McMain, Braxton Swensen and Mason Valdez; and his sister Kathy. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Church (180 S Coleman St, Tooele, UT 84074).
