He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Ruiz and Pearl Shields Ruiz; his brothers, Richard Cano and Richard Ruiz; and his uncle Clifton Shields.
He is survived by: his former wife Charlene Zobell; his wife Karla Hinkel; his children, Pam Weaver (Autie) of Grantsville, UT, Ron B. II Ruiz (Gina) of Tooele, UT, Crei Yost (Ric) of Tooele, UT, Step, Wendi Elton (Bethany Tucker) of Tooele, UT and Shawn Elton (Lynette Harris) of Tooele, UT.; his stepgrandchildren, Neko, Marcus, Abigail Ruiz, Clarissa Dowdle (Dakota), A. J. Weaver, Randi Tanner (TJ), Karena Davis (Matt Dilworth), Amanda McMain (Michael), Mikali Carter (Cade) and Taylore Elton (Michael Dow); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ozzy Tanner, Ares Dilworth, Maecee, Tatum, Axl, Daxton McMain, Hayes Bliven, Quynn Carter and Mack Ray Dow. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
