Van Shields Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 87, Van Shields (Tooele, Utah) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Van departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Van. Though Van may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Shields and Anna Orlean Shields; his wife Bev; his daughters, Kristie and Carolyn; and his daughter-in-law Kayelynn.
He is survived by: his children, Dal Shields, Corry Shields (Penny), Larry Rigby and Julie Shields; and his brother Arlen Shields (Glenda). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
