She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Darlene Shields and Charles Phillips; her husband Kenneth Rhea Jr.; her close friend Kenneth Rhea Jr.; her children, Michael (Natalie), Matthew (Kellie), Jody Thomas (Aaron), Christopher (Vanessa) and Lisa Bryant (Clinton); and her siblings, Shelly and Roy (Joyce). She was also cherished by 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

She was unsurpassed in her ability to exemplify charity and kindness, and her compassionate heart blessed the lives of all she called friends.
