He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Jay and Nila Behunin Brinkerhoff; his former wife Judith Brinkerhoff; and his siblings, Richard Brinkerhoff (Zola), Earl Brinkerhoff (Eunice) and Dorothy Martin (William).

He is survived by: his wife Vanetta Brinkerhoff of Torrey, Utah; and his children, Katherine (Flint Gleave), Daniel Brinkerhoff of Richfield, Utah, Teresa (Durran Brian) and Doyle (Tiffany Stock). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
