He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Covieo Johnston; his brother James Johnston; and his children, Paul Donald Johnston (Kathie), Julie Ann Johnston, Benjamin Wynn Johnston (Melissa), Amy Joanne Johnston and Gina Marie Knudsen (Jeremy). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
