It is with sadness that the passing of Walter Reed Hardester of Tremonton, Utah is shared. Walter, born on June 10, 1938 in Saint Helena, California, passed away on June 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Judith; his parents, Reed Hardester and Marion Gore Hardester Hyde; his stepparents, Park Hyde and Lena Hardester; his parents-in-law, Sheldon and Donna Bell; his sisters, Deborah Norton, Marianne Hardester and Jackie Marble; his brothers-in-law, Harry Klarchuck Jr., Phil Howlett and Duane Marble; his great grandchildren, Miles Harris and Poppy Bitner; his niece Katie Howlett; and his nephews, Matthew Norton, Alan Wilmsen, Joshua Lipscomb and Scott Howlett.

He is survived by: his children, Julie Harris (Kelly), Greg Hardester (Kathy), Grant Hardester (Stacey), Rebecca Hardester and Ross Hardester (Emily); his sisters, Kathy McIntosh, Deanie Wilmsen (Ted) and Karen Lipscomb (Willard); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Howlett (Morgan), Bernie McIntosh and Bill Norton. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
