It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Calvin Philyp Powell (Vernal, Utah), who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Bonnie Jean; his parents, James and Vivian; his parents-in-law, Myron and Hazel Brough; and his siblings, Maureen Smith, Verona Gonzales, LaVern Gordon, Ruth Christensen, Mildred Hillabert, Lucy Timothy, Ardith Russell, Vernice Howe, June Roper, Donna Rae Ewell, Carl and Albert Powell.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Sheli Allred (Curtis), Michael Powell (Christy), Dennis Powell, Ronald Powell (Simone), Charlene Louder (Jimmy) and Jeff Powell (Tonya); his brother Bill Powell; and his pet Puppy. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
