Edna Rae (Longson) Person Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2021, at the age of 81, Edna Rae Person (Vernal, Utah), born in Murray, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Grace Longson and Angus Earl Longson; her husband Paul "Pat" Oscar Person; her children, Paulann Person and Randy; and her grandson Kurt Person.

She is survived by : her granddaughter Autumn Joy. She is also survived by six children, 13 grandchildren, 20+ great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Edna loved to spend time outdoors and with her family. She loved to go camping, hunting fishing, and tease her family. She knew how to make everyone around her smile whether it was with stories of her past, or with her amazing sense of humor. She would host barbecues, sleepovers for her grandchildren, and anything else she could do to make others have an amazing time with her. Edna was a bright spirit and is now dancing with the angels. She would always be an amazing spirit no matter how many challenges she faced. She could face anything from a broken hip, to the loss of a child or other family member and still be willing to power through. Edna was known as Rae to most, and will be missed dearly. When Rae would hold sleepovers for two of her great-grandchildren, she would always play a game called "dollar dollar". If she wasn't creating new games, she was singing "rock-a-bye baby". When she got to the end of the song, she would drop us on our butt. Edna shall stay forever in our hearts and memory as the wonderful woman she was. She was very bright and spunky. We love you grandma. May she rest in peace, always and forever.
