Garth Heaton Obituary
We announce the death of Garth Heaton (Vernal, Utah), who passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 85. Garth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Garth will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Garth will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Garth’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Idona Gibson Heaton and David Esplin Heaton; and his siblings, Orlande, Garold and Vauna.
He is survived by: his wife Dora (Chela); his sons, Orlando (Cathy) and Adrian (Suzanne); and his grandchildren, LJ Heaton, Marcos Heaton (Katherine), Bobbi Lynne Seitz (Parker) and Dani Cannon (Tyler). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery (300 S 3500 W, Vernal, UT 84078).
