He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris "Babe" Joseph Vernon and Helen Marshall; his sister Loa Daun; and his wife Helen Kent Gaspard. He is survived by: his grandsons, Levi and Myles; his children, Faith, Michael (Renatha), Matthew (Brenda), Rebecca and Rachel (Cody); and his brother Russell (Diane). He is also survived by four nieces and nephews, and 10 grandchildren.
He also volunteered for SNAP, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and Transitions, and served in temples and his local church congregations.
