He was predeceased by: his father Henry Hampton Gowen; his brother Dale (Jan Gowen); and his sibling's children, Heath Bryant, Russell Gowen and Michele Frederick (Gowen).
He is survived by: his sister Brenda Bryant (Preston); and his sibling's children, Ashley Anderson (Keenan), Richard Gowen (Alisha) and Nikki Ruud (Skyler).
