She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Buist and Gladys Richins Buist; and her siblings, Douglas, Delma, Barbara and Ernest.

She is survived by: her husband William Van Stubbs; and her daughters, VaNattia Alexander (David), Becky Sue Osborn (Dale), Shona Dee Jackson (Cal), Sandria Stubbs Wilde and Teresa Ann Ashby (Troy). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
